This class will hone the fundamental skills of firearm use as survival and self defense tools, i.e., delivering rapid hits on target from field
positions and keeping your gun running.

Bring what you've got:  AK, AR, Mosin, lever gun, deer rifle; any functional rifle
or shotgun up to 12 gauge or .308 caliber. (At theother extreme, .22s will work fine)

Bring your carry handgun as we'll work weapon transitions and pistol skills as well.

Topics covered will include fundamentals of shotgun and rifle handling and marksmanship, shooting positions, verification of zero and shotgun pattern.

We'll also revisit transition to handgun and fundamentals of pistol markmanship and manipulations, both one and two handed.

Primarily, we'll be running fun and challenging drillswith a "zombie apocalypse" vibe.

We'll finish the class with a "zombie invasion" night shoot where we engage teeming hordes of the undead in a smoking, firelit post apocalypse wasteland.

Equipment required:
Rifle and/or shotgun with sling (standard two point "carry strap" is fine)
Two rifle magazines (or appropriate en bloc or stripper clips)
Carry handgun with secure holster
Two handgun magazines (minimum)
Eye and ear protection
Brimmed hat
Flashlight
Knee pads are optional.
Red dot or tritium sights are highly recommended.
Old clothes are recommended as some targets may be messy.

Ammunition: Suggested minimum 150 rounds total for the guns
you'll be using

Large melee’ implements like machetes, crowbars, and baseball bats are optional but may be useful if we get swarmed.

After a short dinner (and setup) break, those who dare can participate in a final chaotic battle as the darkened range is invaded by shambling hordes of the undead.

Course cost: $75 (includes range fee and final event)

Spectators are welcome at the final event at no charge.
